I am guest posting on Literary Rambles today! Check out my tip of the week. Casey and Natalie's blog is a great resource for writers, so definitely poke around there if you haven't been previously.
Enjoyed your post at LR. I kind of break my stuff down, too. When I write a novel for kids, I think of it as about 40,000 words (even though usually they end up longer). So when I hit 10,000, I can think, "Yay! one quarter done!"
@Storyqueen - That's exactly how I like to think. It's good to set low expectations. That way, you goal never seems out of reach. 12,000 words = 6 chapters = 20% of my book. I can do 6 chapters. It seems much more attainable than 30. Thanks for stopping by!
